Lorraine Bonaventura Architect is an award-winning architecture and interior design firm based in NYC and East Hampton. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Design Bureau, New York Cottages & Gardens, Remodelista, Brownstoner, LONNY, and Interior Design. LBA's projects combine a thoughtful, modernist sensibility with an emphasis on comfort, livability and practicality.

LBA's design process responds to the project context and our client's goals. Beyond design, we manage the complex process of building and furnishing a project: analyzing codes and navigating cooperative boards and public agencies; coordinating with consultants and delivering well-documented plans; sketching custom furniture and inspecting it at the workroom — a process that begins at the first conversation until moving day.

LBA's goal is to create beautiful, well crafted designs that improve with time.

My husband and I recently completed a gut renovation that involved the combination of two one bedroom apartments in a landmark building in Brooklyn Heights. Lorraine Bonaventura was our architect and collaborated with our contractor to create a beautiful, highly functional space that both accommodated and anticipated our needs. She is aesthetically talented and brings meticulous attention to detail. She is a good listener and was respectful of our desires and budgetary constraints. She was a pleasure to work with and we recommend her without reservation.
